Sony T2 Digital Camera Comes In Five Colours

Sony has launched a new compact digital camera aimed at those with an eye for fashion, or possibly those interested in experiencing colour-blindness. The new Cyber-shot T2 comes in a range of retina-searing colours including lime green, turquoise blue and vibrant pink, as well as the slightly more sober options of black and white.

The main selling point of the T2 is its four gigabytes of internal memory, enough to store up to 1,250 8MP images, which can be viewed on its large 2.7-inch 230k pixel touch-screen LCD monitor, or by connecting directly to any new Sony Bravia TV. The idea is that you don't need to download your pictures to a computer, you can store them permanently on the camera's memory, so you can view and share them wherever you like. Additional storage can be added via the Memory Stick Pro Duo card slot.

If you do prefer to share your photos online, the camera comes pre-installed with Picture Motion Browser Portable and Sharemark software, allowing rapid upload to picture-sharing sites such as Flickr or your personal blog, if you happen to have one.

Other features include a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessor 3x optical zoom lens, 8.1-megapixel 1/2.5-inch Super HAD sensor and high-speed BIONZ image processing engine, as well as Super SteadyShot optical image stabilisation and 3200 ISO maximum sensitivity.

The Cyber-shot T2 will be available from November 2007, although the price has yet to be comfirmed.
