Nikon updates Capture NX software to version 1.2

Nikon has announced a new version of its proprietary image management and editing software, Nikon Capture NX. Improvements for version 1.2 include faster opening of images, plus a variety of other tweaks to improve program functionality. The new version is available as a free 30-day trial or as an update for users of the current version.



Nikon Capture NX is compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista (32-bit only), but no Macintosh version is currently available. It supports NEF RAW files from the following Nikon camera models:

SLR: D1, D1H, D1X, D100, D2H, D2Hs, D2x, D2Xs, D200, D40, D40x, D50, D70, D70s, D80

Coolpix: 5000, 5400, 5700, 8400, 8700, 8800
