Kodak may have canned it’s low-end cameras, but that only makes more room on the shelves for four new mid-market models and two new super-zooms announced last week.

The new M-series cameras are intended to provide style at an affordable price, and it has to be said they’re some nice looking products. The M753 and M853 are both slim 3x zoom compact models, featuring seven and eight megapixel sensors respectively, both with 2.5-in monitors and high ISO capability.

The M753 launches in July with a list price of £99.99. The M853 will follow in August, although the price hasn’t yet been announced.

The M873 and M883 are slightly more sophisticated ultra-slim models offering eight megapixel resolution and 3-in monitors, with the M883 adding the option of face detection technology as well. The M873 will launch in August and the M883 will be available in September.

Also announced at the same time are two new models with larger, higher zoom lenses. The Z1275 offers a big 12 megapixels of resolution combined with and 5x optical zoom and manual exposure options, as well as other advanced features.

Meanwhile the 7-megapixel ZD710 is a fully-automatic camera with 10x optical zoom and high ISO capabilities. Both of these models will be launched in August, with prices to be announced closer to that time.
