BenQ has been quietly making a name for itself over the last 12 months with stylish phones, sublime monitors and competent digicams and it is this last category which looks set to receive a significant ztyle boost.

Leaping headfirst into the fashion cam sector are two new super slim line models: the X720 (above - pics sorted!) and E720 (below). Both are seven megapixel shooters and measure just 12.5mm and 19.5mm wide respectively, the former figure being proclaimed as a world record. Naturally weight isn’t much of an issue with either camera either with the X720 barely registering on the scales at 120g and the E720 making little more of an impact at 130g.

On the specs front the two are near identical with 2.5in LCDs, Super Shake-Free image stabilisation, 3x optical zoom, VGA 30fps video recording, PictBridge support and SD expansion slots. On the design front however the two couldn’t be more different with the X720 all sweeping curves and swankiness and the E720 clearly inspired by the right angle.

Unfortunately I don’t yet have pricing or availability details for the boy band half of the pair, but the Daniel O’Donnell of the two kicks in at a grandma friendly £139.99 including VAT.

Update: The X720 will be a fantastically tempting £169.99 including VAT. I don't know yet know when it arrives, but I suggest you lace up a pair of running shoes in the meantime.
