While we’ve no doubt Nintendo sold an incredible amount of Switch consoles during the annual Black Friday sales event, actual discounts have been rarer that rocking horse poop.
It’s unsurprising really, isn’t it? Why discount a product you literally cannot make fast enough to satisfy demand?

Anyway, help is at hand for Switch owners (new and old) seeking to augment their set-up with a range of affordable accessories.
Amazon US is discounting a quartet of AmazonBasics Switch products to help you get started.
Firstly, there’s 25% off an unofficial Protection Kit, which includes a carry case, tempered glass screen protector, two silicone Joy-Con grips and a screen-cleaning cloth.
For just $6.87 gamers can also grab a handy Playstand for the Nintendo Switch, which offers a number of different viewing positions, while still promoting adequate ventilation.
In terms of accessories that’ll actually augment your gameplay, you can get a pair of Joy-Con steering wheel accessories for a mere $7.96. That’s a 23% saving.
There’s also a Grip Kit for the Switch Joy-Cons which helps to give them the feel of a traditional game controller. You can get a pair for $9.59 (20% off)
