Still not managed to get your hands on Battlefield 1? Well Xbox owners are in luck, because we’ve spotted a ruddy good deal on the award-winning shooter.
Game is selling Dice’s Battlefield 1 on Xbox One for a bargain price of £17.99, which is well below the retailer’s usual price of £49.99.
That’s not bad, given that CDKeys is still selling it for £29.99, and Argos has it for an even costlier price of £34.99.
And in a peculiar twist, it turns out that Game is actually now selling Battlefield 1 for even cheaper than its own pre-owned price of £19.99.
Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter that was developed by EA’s Dice. It’s the 15th Battlefield game, and follows a World War 1 setting – a welcome departure from the increasingly modern/sci-fi shooters available in recent years.
The game was released back in October last year, so it’s still relatively new. Better still, Battlefield 1 landed to immensely positive critical reception, meaning it’s certainly one of the best buys in the last few years.
We gave Battlefield 1 a very respectable 4.5/5 score, praising the game’s incredible campaign, compelling multiplayer, and gorgeous graphics.
Here’s our verdict: “DICE has put together a superlative campaign experience. The decision to create a mini-series following multiple soldiers is brilliant, and something that other games should follow in the future, as there wasn’t a single moment of filler.”
Our review continues: “It’s just a shame that the word “mini” is so apt, with the whole campaign over all too soon. It’s a testament to how good it is, though, that I simply want more of it – more stories, more acts of heroism, more incredible, heart-wrenching moments.”
