Looking at our benchmark results, latency makes very little difference to overall permance. In a best case scenario, going from CAS5 to CAS3 showed a 10 per cent improvement, while in most others 1-2 per cent.

As we proved in the nForce 5 review, there is much more performance to be had by increasing memory frequency, than by lowering timings. With technology like SLI Memory being built into motherboards, this can be done without even overclocking the CPU.

Although all of these modules use the same Micron D9 memory chips, without a doubt, the memory I would recommend is the Corsair. Not only do you get Corsair's solid reputation, but you're not paying through the nose for the privelage. And when you factor in that these modules overclock as well as any others on test, it becomes a bit of a no brainer.
