Win a Samsung YP-R1 Portable Media Player

TrustedReviews has got together with SamsungConnect to give four lucky readers the chance to win Samsung's new YP-R1 portable media player. The YP-R1 is a beautifully designed and crafted player, with a bright and vivid colour screen. The YP-R1 also has a brushed metal casing, in either black or silver finish, the latter of which looks surprisingly understated.
The styling is decidedly minimalist, with the only hardware controls being buttons for power and volume. All the rest of the controls come via the touch-screen interface, which is simple and very responsive.

Codec support is impressive with MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, WAV and ASF all present for audio. Video support is even more impressive with DivX, XviD, MPEG4, WMV, h.264, ASF and RMVB all on the menu. That means that you shouldn't have to waste your time converting all your videos to get them working, as you have to on many other players.
Samsung quotes 35-hours battery life when listening to music, which means you'd be able to fly to Australia, and still have enough juice for a long taxi ride at the other end. If you'd rather watch video, you'll get five hours worth. With 8GB of built-in storage you'll be able to squeeze a decent selection of songs, along with a few music videos and perhaps an episode or two of your favourite TV show.

There's also built-in Bluetooth 2.0, so you can stream your music wirelessly to a suitably equipped speaker system, or even an in-car stereo. Making the most of the Bluetooth functionality, SamsungConnect is also bundling a Linx B-TUBE wireless speaker with the YP-R1, in case you don't fancy plugging earphones in.
We'll be publishing a full review of the Samsung YP-R1 very soon, so check back for the full story on this player.
To be in with a chance of winning one of these great bundles worth £130 each, just login (or register if you haven't already) and answer the simple question below - the answer to which can be found on the SamsungConnect website.
Anyone employed by or associated with TrustedReviews, IPC Media or SamsungConnect is not eligible to enter.
The competition will close on 8th November 2009.

Why on earth would you fly to Australia, when paradise is just a few more hours over the Tasman Sea ??
