Another simple composition involving water reflections was this shot from Charles Garnett of Glasgow, Scotland, taken on his Nikon D40X. The focus in pin-sharp, and the tight cropping and telephoto perspective compression concentrates the image nicely.

Since they tend to spend a lot of their time over water, bridges also made a popular subject for our competitors. One of the best in this category was this excellent photo from regular entrant Jeffrey Levy of Arlington, Virginia, USA. Says Jeffrey: "I took it with a Nikon D200 and a Tamron 17-50 2.8 lens. After shooting the full length of the bridge, I looked to my left and saw this shot. I almost dropped the camera in the river walking upstream a bit for a better angle."

Another image of a bridge over water was this excellent night shot of the troubled "Squinty Bridge", or Clyde Arc, from Ewan Thomson, our second entrant this month from Glasgow, Scotland. The photo was taken using a Sony Alpha A100 DSLR.
