Another international entry was this street scene from Eszlari Andras of Brussels in Belgium. I'm not entirely sure what's going on in this picture, whether the sign has been added in Photoshop, or even quite why I like it so much, but then not everything in life makes sense.

It's a pity we can't show you this shot full-size, because the six-megapixel original image contains a wealth of fascinating detail. It was sent in by Oliver Brown of Norwich, UK. "This picture is in Munich, looking down from the Olympic tower at some of the Olympic buildings. There happened to be a special festival on when I was there, so there's some added ‘life' in this picture."

This excellent shot from Sam Martin of Milton Keynes, UK, captures a nice feeling of peaceful relaxation amidst the bustle of city life, and would have been virtually perfect if only he hadn't added the unnecessary title text to the picture. Still a great shot though, nicely cropped and composed.
