Jaguar XF 3.0L Diesel Sport Portfolio Comments

I didn't like them at first but soon realised they have adopted BMW's trick of making the car look totally naff without the optional big alloys. Fitted with 18" or above and preferably in metallic grey it looks the business and in no way a copycat design of anything German. Between this and the XK I think Jaguar have the best looking premium cars on sale today.

The Bowers & Wilkins speaker system looks interesting. Is it better than the Mark Levinson system fitted to the Lexus GS? As tacky a design as the GS is, it's a lovely place to sit in no small part due to the audio system.

The only thing I don't like about the Jag is the colour of the dials. I will forever have an aversion to green illumination which I guess started with my first car, a Ford Fiesta. I have found even in my Dad's Volvo XC90 that the green dials make my eyes feel strained after a while at night. My ideal is the clear but unobtrusive pinky-red in modern BMWs which I find lovely and relaxing while always clear to read.

Overall though the XF manages to be desirable to both my head and heart, something rare in this sector.
