Watch this space... ;^> Actually, we have made one or two video reviews where my camcorders are strapped inside a car... but not for the same kind of artistic purposes shown in the video samples mentioned here!

do you think DSLR's with video will really catch on, or will the common "handycam" every gain that sort of quality?
photo's and video's have both been in completely different leagues, it's nice to see a camera bridge the gap with ultra quality video and images (as opposed to "reasonable" video and "not worth bothering" photo)

Well, there are these 4/3in cameras coming in 2009, some of which will have decent video capabilities. Samsung's HMX20 camcorder appears to be using a 1/1.8in camera CMOS too. I know a few things coming which I can't talk about (signed agreements not to...) but HD camcorder sales really picked up in 2008, so competition will be fierce next year. We are going to see some very exciting things over the next couple of years.

I think, James, that the only way we can get a true comparison of the new canon's film and say, a normal film from DSLR, would be for you to strap YOUR camera to the front of a car and drive around. And on the door frame of a helicopter would be good too.
