Aren't phones now sort of taking over from these anyway?
I mean I know the quality would be higher than some phones, but since most people will simply be uploading to YouTube/Facebook, I don't thing they'd be too bothered.
And anyone wanting to do more serious filming would have a more serious camcorder.

@HK - which cannot shoot stills, is low quality and placed in the wrong position ;)
@drdark - ish, though not HD recording specifically - so far only a few handsets can do that. Furthermore, like MP3 players there will always be a market for dedicated devices.

@Gordon: I already countered the HD argument in my original post :P.
MP3 players still have more of a market due to their pocketability (ugh, made up words...), but I just can't see these Flip devices(and similar) gaining more market-share. I was only slightly more mystified when I saw the announcement of the PocketSurfer3...

@HK, let's make some comparisons on your complaint...
iPod nano video resolution: 640 x 480
Flip MinoHD video resolution: 1280 x 720
iPod nano stills photography: none
iPod nano stills photography: built-in
iPon nano digital zoom: none
Flip MinoHD digital zoom: 2x
iPod nano USB cable: separate
Flip MinoHD USB cable: built in
iPod nano HDMI connectivity: none
Flip MinoHD HDMI connectivity: built-in socket
I can see why you'd want to record on the iPod nano - if you didn't like video recording that is!

I thought HK was being sarcastic...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I was as well. :-)
Still always good to outline why the Nano is so shit in case some people who shop at PC World or readers of Which? stumble across this post.

sorry, without an emoticon I didn't realise you was being sarcastic - there are SO many Apple-fans around who will buy an iPod/iPhone over any technology, no matter how limited it is that I naturally presume that anyone who posts pro-Apple type comments is another of them...
I'm a fan of non-Apple products, so I have an Archos video player, a BlackBerry phone, Windows PC and avoid the "style over functionality" that certain manufacturers try to force on consumers.

@Phil:
Hey hey hey! Don't go around bashing Apple fans - that's my job! Find another site :P.

Sorry, I forgot Americans need smilies to understand sarcasm. Used to mostly British people here. :-P

God who needs this, the iPod nano has a camera in it now.
