Does it beat the Denon DVD-2500BT (an old favourite and to my eyes, still among the best for what it does!) for pure PICTURE and SOUND quality EASILY?

Considering that the Denon DVD-2500BT is a pure transport: yes! So you`ll get as good picture and sound as the reciever you connect it to can offer. However, the Denon`s build quality is excelent, only too bad it is sooo slow.

Mine's an apparently OK mechanism but in a cheap tin box that rattles nastily at certain disc rotation speeds so I wish I had purchased differently.
