Do not buy this printer. I bought this a replacement for a DCP-7050 printer which was excellent and very economical. This new 'improved' model is outrageous in it's consumption of toner (both OEM and generic) in the region of x10 increase. Avoid like the plague- a total exercise in cynicism by Brother!!!

I agree. This printer is costly in terms of toner. Most inkjet printouts only costs 1.50 PHP per page in our area, but dealers here, sells DCP-7055 cartridges at 1,395 PHP (but usually it's 1,400 PHP). With 700 pages approx. capacity of each cartridge, then it costs about 2.00 PHP per page. That's a total separation to the popular belief that Laser printers should have lower operational costs than Inkjet printers. Man! I should've seen this, before I purchased one. I was so confident with that popular belief. Now, I have to live with workarounds to meet the 1.00 PHP per page target for our small business. That's Toner Save, with tweakings of the brightness and stuff on its console. Could I ever squeeze 1,400 pages out of a single cartridge? At least 1,250 pages? Let's see on its first Low Toner message. I'm ready with a workaround for that too.

This printer is a scam. My toner cartridge only lasted 250 pages.

I get two compatible cartridges for €12.99 which I find is excellent.
