Any Any comparison with the Bose Soundlink II?
I have about 2 months' experience with my own Braven 570 speaker, and I give it a big thumbs up. I enjoy it a lot.
I intended to use this to stream music from my laptop or phone while I'm making dinner or working at the kitchen table. The sound is big enough to fill the living room or while watching movies, and it actually sounds quite acceptable! I could link a couple together for more power but it suits my needs just fine. It does work at least 30 feet away through two walls at my house.
This speaker ticks all the boxes for me: cheap, good sound, nice looking, super portable, decent battery life so far, quick to sync, auto power off.
Other users have one major complaint, and that is the power switch failing. I've been very mindful of how I operate the switch and have not had problems. Poor fabrication may be to blame, but also the design cues are misleading and could be causing problems. All other controls are push buttons, so some people may be pushing on it instead of clicking it up or down. The button is not adequately raised, so you need to use a fingernail to catch it. Shouldn't be a problem if you're aware.
