Ryse: Son of Rome

Originally reviewed by 22 November 2013

Previously teased as a Kinect-friendly Xbox 360 title and now reborn as an Xbox One title, Crytek has shifted the focus from Microsoft’s motion-sensing controller onto the brutal hack and slash gameplay set against a spectacular Roman Empire backdrop. Fighting in close quarters and commanding troops that spawn across gloriously large battlefields, there’s multiplayer and some Kinect support if you want to bark out orders to your men.
