Nintendo Wii U

Looking for the best Wii U games launched this year? We’ve picked out the best games available for Nintendo’s flagship console right now to help you decide what to buy.

Although the Wii U is still classed as the underdog of the console world, that isn't to say that it hasn't had some wonderful titles launch this year.

Building on the strength it gained at the tail end of 2014, Nintendo and select third-party developers have worked hard to improve the Wii U's game portfolio for this year.

We've seen the launch of huge games like Xenoblade Chronicles X, cutesy yet addictive platformers like Yoshi's Woolly World, even head-scratching puzzlers like Mario vs Yoshi: Tipping Stars.

In terms of third-party content, you're looking at the wonderful toys-to-life title Lego Dimensions or the music-sim Guitar Hero Live – both of which will burn a huge hole in your weekend and your wallet.

Use the arrows below to click through the list of best Wii U games in full, or use the drop-down menu above to read about a specific title.

"Best Wii U Games" or "Best Wii U Games 2014"? The title/article don't tally...

The inclusion of Watch Dogs in your list is puzzling to say the least. Whilst a good game on other platforms the Wii version runs very poorly especially in car and also doesn't utilise the gamepad's features. Basically it is a poor port.

There are many other better games that you could have listed instead such as Zelda Wind Waker etc.
