Nvidia Shield Tablet

Key features:

  • 8-inch, 1,920 x 1,200 screen
  • 2.2GHz Quad Core Nvidia Tegra K1 processor
  • Optional wireless game controller and cover

The Nvidia Shield Tablet is two things in one. It's an excellent 8-inch Android tablet that you can do all the usual tablet like things on, but it's also a brilliant portable Android game console when paired with the optional wireless controller. The controller is key to this, though the powerful Nvidia Tegra K1 processor also ensures games look fantastic on the 8-inch screen.

That's not all. An HDMI output means you can hook up your tablet up to a TV to play on the big screen and there's a TV screen mode to make this easier, too. It's also one of the first tablets to get an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop, the latest version of Android for phones and tablets. The final great feature is for hardcore PC gamers, the ability to stream supported PC games from your PC to your tablet.

If you love games, this is the tablet to own.
