The SC-BTT370 packs a Blu-ray player, 1000W receiver and 5.1 speaker system into a single box. Some compromises are involved – the subwoofer is passive and build quality is a touch plasticky – but with so many features on board it’s churlish to complain. These include 3D support, Skype access, a built-in iPod dock, built-in Wi-Fi with DLNA streaming and Viera Cast, Cinema Surround Plus… need we go on? Despite a slight lack of potency compared with the other systems here, its sound quality is hugely enjoyable, with a crisp and dynamic character which will make your TV’s speakers feel very, very ashamed of themselves.
