- Front and back 13-megapixel cameras
- Dual-tone flashes front and back
- 5.2-inch 1080p IPS screen
The selfie generation was calling and HTC has answered. The HTC Desire EYE is the first phone to feature identical, high-spec front and back cameras to make your selfies look as top notch as possible.
Not only is the front camera a high-resolution but it's also joined by a two-tone flash so selfies in the dark don't require you to flip your phone round either.
It may seem a bit excessive to have two identical cameras but the fact of the matter is that it really works. It is just so much quicker and easier to take photos this way, and they're good quality ones too.
Although sold primarily off the back of this feature, the HTC Desire EYE is actually a very good all rounder. Its performance is very good, its 1080p screen lovely and sharp and it looks pretty smart too, even if it has lost the premium metal finish of the HTC One M8.
All that and this phone is also waterproof, and without the need for any flaps to cover any of the ports, making it even easier to use than the likes of the Sony Xperia Z3.
The only possible issue is that with a 5.2-inch screen it is one of the larger phones out there making it a bit unwieldy.
Still, if you find yourself snapping, well, yourself a lot then the HTC Desire EYE is the phone for you.
