Best Samsung Galaxy S6 Cases

If you've just become the proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy S6 or are thinking about getting your hands on one, here are some of the best cases and covers to keep the Android smartphone looking tip-top.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is quite possibly the most impressive mobile on the market. It’s powerful, searingly quick, and has one of the best smartphone cameras we’ve ever come across. It’s fully deserving of the 9/10 it scored on our review, and we’d recommend it over the iPhone 6 and HTC One M9.

Crucially, the S6 is also beautifully-designed. Its aluminium alloy frame is sandwiched between a pair of polished glass panels adorning both the front and back. It’s a great look, but the glass also makes it more slippery than most phones.

Simply put, it slides off uneven surfaces all too easily. To save it from a splintery grave, you’ll either have to make like Ronan Keating and catch it whenever it falls or invest in a decent case. The choice is yours, but you wouldn’t want any harm to come to that stunning 5.1-inch, 2,560 x 1,440 Super AMOLED display now, would you?

Fortunately, there are loads of protective cases out there from a range of manufacturers, which should keep it in good nick. Samsung sells its own official S6 covers, such as the S View Premium and Clear View, but manufacturers like Olixar, Proporta and OtterBox also offer loads of different cases to wrap around the S6.

When you're considering a smartphone cover, it's important to think about which features are most important to you. Are you after maximum protection, a case that can double up as a stand, or simply something cheap and discreet?

Whatever you’re in the market for, we’ve played around with some of the most popular S6 cases around, and here’s what we think of them.

A good review. For phones costing this much, and made of materials like glass and aluminium, which are prone to cracking, scratching, etc, protection of some sort, makes sense. I have used wallet style cases for my S2, S5, and now S6 Edge. My last two have been by Spigen and bought from Amazon for around the £12 - £15 mark. While the faux leather has tended to wear and flake a bit after a year or so, for the price, fit, look, and protection, I would recommend them.

I really hate my S6. Deserving of 9/10? No, not really. The camera is great, though often takes shots out of focus. Everything else is nothing that special in real-life use, and it's seriously worse than the S5 in many respects. The fact I was hoping one of these cases would be waterproof is a bit of a clue, you think...?
