Best RPG Games 2016

Best RPG

We take a look at the best RPG games of the last 12 months

The role playing genre is one of the most popular and longest-running in video game history, and 2014 saw plenty of fresh classics for fans to get their teeth into. We had unrelenting action-RPGs like Dark Souls 2 and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls rubbing shoulders with turn-based examples like Might & Magic X: Legacy, Bravely Default and Child of Light. It was bumper year all round, no matter what your role-playing preference happens to be.

Here are our ten top RPG titles from 2014:

Dark Souls 2 by From Software

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls by Blizzard

Bravely Default by Square Enix

Child of Light by Ubisoft

Dragon Age: Inquisition by BioWare

Might & Magic X: Legacy by Ubisoft

South Park: The Stick of Truth by Ubisoft / Obsidian

Wasteland 2 by inXile / Obsidian

Lords of the Fallen by Deck13 / CI Games

Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues by Portalarium

2015 will of course offer many more opportunities for RPG fanatics to explore, fight and level-up to their heart's content with titles like The Legend of Zelda Wii U, Bloodborne, Witcher 3 and Persona 5, but for the time being we're going to cast a furtive backwards glance at some of last's years best adventure titles.

I think that you could also class Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor and Styx Master of shadows as RPGs'.

Both of which in my opinion were better than most on that list and my very own favourites of the padst year.

For me three the best RPG game in 2014 was: Diablo III: Reaper of Souls; Lords of the Fallen; Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor - which is not on this list. I spend a lot of time playing on this games and I wait for next part of it or the continuation of it.

Yeah how do you leave Shadow of Mordor off this list? I mean really...
