The best titles to launch on the PlayStation Network this year for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

In the year since the PS4 launch, Sony has really pushed the indie scene for its newest console. Of course, the breadth of new indie titles on PSN also has a positive knock-on effect for the PS3 and PS Vita, too. So if you're looking for something other than the top-dog best PS4 games, the PSN is a store full to the brim with great titles to explore.

2015 has been very good to the PSN store and so we've given our pick of the best PSN games a bit of an update. Three games have been replaced with three new ones - Broken Age, Escape Plan and Shovel Knight.

Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure from Tim Schafer, Escape Plan is a puzzler of epic proportions and then you've got the nostalgic, 16-bit influenced Shovel Knight to get your thumbs into.

Here's our pick of the best:

Broken Age by Double Fine

An emotional point-and-click adventure

Don't Starve by Klei Entertainment

The ultimate wilderness survival game

Escape Plan by Fun Bits

Lil and Laarg are in trouble and you need to help

Minecraft by Mojang

Get involved in the blocky world-building game

Race the Sun by Flippfly LLC

High-score addicts apply within

Shovel Knight by Yacht Club Games

Tapping into nostalgia in just the right way

The Swapper by Curve Digital

Explore the outer reaches of space with your unique tech

The Unfinished Swan by Giant Sparrow

Exploration through paint splats

Trine Bundle by Frozenbyte

2D side-scrolling adventuring at its best

Child of Light by UbiArt

Harking back to the glory days of JRPGs

Outlast by Red Barrels Studios

One of the most terrifying games on the PS4

Resogun by Housemarque and Climax Studios

An arcade shooter that is so satisfying to master

Tales from the Borderlands by Telltale Games

Borderlands with a unique Telltale spin

Valiant Hearts: The Great War by UbiArt

The powerful story of the First World War through a few people's eyes

Entwined by PixelOpus

A stunning indie game with a beautiful soundtrack

Hopefully that'll scratch your indie-gaming itch, but if there's a great game we've missed out, please feel free to add it in the comments below.
