Key features:

  • Low running costs
  • AirPrint and Wi-Fi Direct
  • Neat, fold-down paper trays
The Canon PIXMA MX475 is an excellent budget all-in-one. Impressively, it doesn’t sacrifice the flexibility of a wireless connection to lower its price, though it lacks duplex print. Still, it’s well worth picking up due to its high print quality and quick mono print speed.
Black text comes out crisp and well-formed, colour graphics are smooth, while photo prints are natural-looking, with no banding and good reproduction of shadowed areas. Page costs of 2.9p for mono and 6.1p for colour are quite a lot lower than you’d get from its similar-priced competitors.

If you’re really stuck for cash, you can save an additional £20 and pick up the Canon PIXMA MX495 for just £45.
Price: £65
