Archos 32

The Archos 32 is an Android-based MP3 player that lets you play games and snag your emails, like an iPod touch. It is, predictably, a bit cheaper than the latest iPod touch model too. Unfortunately, it uses an out-of-date resistive touchscreen, but if you have the patience to deal with its eccentricities, it's much more flexible than most MP3 players.

Why would anyone buy an mp3 player these days? Why not use your smartphone? Well, because the sound from the Cowon, Sony and Sandisk products is far superior. A point that was totally ignored in the reviews in favour of ability to play games. Imbecilic!!
