The Sony NWZ-E463 is the affordable alternative to the higher-end NWZ-A866. But it has many of the benefits of its bigger brother. It will order your music into mood-based playlists, and gives you control over the speed and pitch of tracks - good if you want to learn guitar or piano parts by ear. There are also physical playback controls, which make it easy to operate from a pocket.

Why would anyone buy an mp3 player these days? Why not use your smartphone? Well, because the sound from the Cowon, Sony and Sandisk products is far superior. A point that was totally ignored in the reviews in favour of ability to play games. Imbecilic!!
