Next to smartphones of other platforms, the BlackBerry Bold 9790 may seem a bit of a features slouch, but for BlackBerry fans it's a cracking upgrade. Build quality is excellent, the physical keyboard is as good as ever and there's a touchscreen in tow as well as the optical trackpad. BlackBerry doesn't have the apps of iOS or Android, but it has charms all of its own.
