Toshiba Chromebook

Best Chromebook

Key features:
  • 13.3-inch, 1,366 x 768 display
  • 16GB internal memory
  • 7-8 hours battery life
Joining the likes of Acer, HP and Samsung, the Toshiba Chromebook is the company’s first Chrome OS-packing laptop effort and it’s the best we’ve seen so far. With an Apple-inspired design, the plastic Chromebook still has an attractive charm and doesn’t feel as cheap as the sub-£250 price tag suggests.

The speakers are surprisingly decent and the bigger chassis makes it far more comfortable to type on. It still suffers from an average screen though. Crucially as a second generation Chromebook It has the Intel Haswell-fuelled performance to make it a good alternative to a cheap tablet or Windows 8 laptop.

Price: £200 (£249 at time of review)
