Runner-up: Arcam rCube
Very much the gentleman of the iPod dock market, the rCube sounds classier and more refined than most. Design-wise, it's worlds away from the Zeppelin and the sound stage is remarkably different. It manages to look both stylish and unobtrusive. The panel found the audio to be faithful and classy and filled the room without being the life of the party. It also includes a battery which provides eight hours of portable listening. The result was on a knife edge with the Zeppelin, and consumers should consider whether they want beautiful, clear sound that fills a room, or gutsy room-owning performance.
