The Sony MDR-1R are truly sumptuous headphones. They look fantastic, they're wonderfully comfortable and they offer handy features like a removable cable. If you're after an easy-going headphone that is equally happy at home or on the road you can't do much better. However, we found that if you search hard enough you can find slightly better sound quality at the price.
