Best Gaming Headset under £100

Key features:

  • Inline controller
  • Excellent sound for the price
Compatible with: PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One

If your budget for a gaming headset is set fairly low, the Turtle Beach PX22 makes for a good option. Originally priced at £69.99 they can now be grabbed for closer to £45 making them great value for money. The noise-isolating wired stereo headset comes with both USB and analog connectors plus an inline amp with controller to adjust volume, bass, treble and mic volumes. Weighing in at 231g, they are nice and light to use with a soft-faux leather headband offering a secure and comfortable fit.

The 50mm speaker drivers deliver excellent sound performance, while the noise-isolation provided by the cups is solid. Stereo imaging is bang on and what’s even better and unexpected is that the virtual surround sound works well, too. The mic is clear and accurate and works perfectly for both gaming and VOIP calling. Noise cancellation however is not quite on par with the best out there. For the price, the sound quality is excellent and unless you really want a wireless or 7.1 surround sound headset, these are a great buy.
