CD Projekt Red created a technical and creative masterpiece with The Wild Hunt.

A game which offered compelling stories in almost every quest, be it on the main story of the briefest of side missions, Geralt's story is simply one you cannot miss.

A deep and engaging RPG that will intrigue all players, knowledge of the previous two entries is beneficial but not essential, as the developer does a great job of crafting a standalone narrative for new players.

Also, Wild Hunt managed to include an incredibly addictive minigame in the form of Gwent, which has since spawned its own dedicated free-to-play game.

bit of a disappointing list if you read it like that, uncharted was as good and yet short lived as ever, only arkham city holds up. shock horror no mention of portal 2. skyward sword should be on the list, very underated at least i got a good week out of it compared to most single player versions that last 2 sittings at most.
