Although technically launching on the previous generation of consoles, Grand Theft Auto V didn't fully come into its own until launching on PS4, Xbox One and most definitely PC.

GTA 5 tells a brilliantly madcap tale following three bonkers lead characters, with the player able to switch control across all three on the fly at any time in the story.

Rockstar's recreation of Los Angeles is the ultimate playground for troublemakers, giving you the freedom to do pretty much anything you want, including hijacking planes, tanks and automobiles.

Players still remain addicted to the game thanks to healthy content updates for GTA Online, although bizarrely we never got a single player expansion unlike previous entries.

Now that GTA 5 is four years old, fans are desperately hoping for news of GTA 6, but with Rockstar launching Red Dead Redemption 2 later this year, that feels like a pip dream.
