If the HDC-TM900 is out of your budget, Panasonic also has a single-CMOS alternative with almost as many features. Image quality isn't quite as good as the big brother, and there's no lens ring, but otherwise the range of manual features are similar. With a sub-£400 street price, the HDC-SD90 offers a lot of quality and features for the money.
