Try as we might, we still don’t understand how Sharp can sell a 60in TV for under £1250. But we’re not complaining. In fact, we’re mostly cockahoop, not least because despite being so cheap the 60LE636E manages to serve up what are for the most part really good pictures, full of colour richness and contrast. You even get Sharp’s Aquos Net online service thrown in. Backlight inconsistencies may prove problematic for serious movie fans, but for much of the time the 60LE636E’s performance makes it a contender for bargain of the year.
