Sigh... yet another COMPUTER monitor with a TV resolution :-(
@rdsh:I'm afraid 16:9 is pretty much standard for computers as well as laptops by now, so most new monitors/displays will sport this ratio. Unfortunately, nothing is likely to change this, so if you want more vertical resolution it might be time to start thinking of a 27in IPS. :(
@Ardjuna: yes, but unfortunately there's none in 120Hz yet.
@supamario:I believe Panasonic do a professional 3D (120Hz) 25.5in, 1920 x 1200 IPS for a mere $9000 :)
@Ardjuna: Nice! I'll await your 3 monitor surround setup review then ;)
Yay - took me years of waiting to replace my Sony Trinitron behemoth of a CRT for Samsung 2233RZ with lowish input lag and 120hz refresh rate. Will look into this.Can we have more input lag results please on TV's and monitors in the future ?
Out of interest, why wait so long? Did you like 3D so much that you kept your CRT around?
The Panasonic 3D monitor is not 120hz, it's just an IPS that uses polarized filter for the 3D effect instead of the shuttering, so it would be like watching a 3D movie in a 3D digital theater.
IPS 120Hz panels just doesn't exist yet.
