Belling FSE60I

Made in Britain, the Belling FSE60I has an oven with nine separate functions. These functions are a fanned cooking function, a conventional cooking function, a defrost function, top-heat only, base-heat only, base heat with fan function, pizza function, a fanned grilling function and finally, an electric grill. Although this plethora of functionality makes the Belling FSE60I difficult to use at first, once mastered it is hard to see what else you’d want an oven to do.

With a double oven capacity, one with two shelves and one with one shelf, you’re able to cook lots of food simultaneously or two types of food at different temperatures — handy for Sunday lunches or when baking two things at once. The shelves in the main oven can be put into five different positions with both ovens able to be used as either ovens or as grills.

The hob on the Belling FSE60I has an induction hotplate with pan detection a feature that is brilliant for cooking with children, simply place the saucepan on the hotplate and it’ll heat up, but put a hand on it and there’s no heat whatsoever. The hotplate also has a sensor that can tell if your pan is going to overheat and burn.

You get four rotary controlled induction elements on the Belling FSE60I, which is standard for an oven of that size. Many people think that induction hobs are very efficient and say that pans heat up much more quickly. The safety shutdown and child lock also make the Belling FSE60I good for those with youngsters.

Boasting an A-grade energy efficiency rating, the Belling FSE60I will save you money on your energy bills whilst the clock and timer are fully programmable. The easy clean enamel makes wiping the Belling FSE60I down and keeping it looking good a total breeze although on the down side, you will need to buy special pans for the induction hob to work, and these aren’t always easy to get hold of.
