When the load is in the machine, you can expect it to get a thorough washing as the Beko WMI71641 boasts some pretty impressive cleaning power. Capable of getting clothes clean even at low temperatures, the Beko WMI71641 features a number of energy saving options that have helped it achieve an A* energy efficiency rating, a bonus that should see you receiving a much smaller number on the electricity bill.
Even better is the WMI71641’s sheer range of wash cycles. You get the standard cycles and a quick Xpress Wash but then you get settings for shirts, one just to “Freshen Up” your clothes and an eco-clean wash. It features a Daily Quick 7kg wash that takes only 50 minutes and cleans clothes really well. It also allows you to adjust wash temperatures and spin speeds.
Talking of spin speed, the Beko WMI71641 is capable of an impressive 1600 revolutions per minute — but this is, as you’d expect, quite a noisy cycle in an otherwise quiet machine. It’s also worth pointing out that although the machine is capable of this speed, most of the everyday cycles only go up to a speed of 1200 rpm. It’s only the slightly more unusual ones that reach this full speed. It still has an A rating for spin efficiency, though, so you’ll spend less time and energy drying your clothes after they’ve been washed.
The Beko WMI71641 is easy to use and understand. The big dials on the front allow you to set your preferred settings, including when you want the programme to start, and the auto load detection will figure out how long the wash will take. The remaining wash time is then shown on the display. All in all, this is a good machine and excellent value for money.
