With a large 8kg drum that can cope with bigger items such as duvets, the Beko WMB81241 is a machine that is most definitely family friendly.
Allowing you to spend less time doing the washing, a bigger drum means larger loads are possible and as such fewer loads are needed to get through your backlog of dirty threads. Another benefit of this larger drum is that fewer washes can help you make considerable energy and water savings, a feature that sees the Beko WMB81241 awarded an A* energy efficiency rating.
Looking at performance ratings, we should point out that the Beko WMB81241 has an A washing performance, meaning even with those large loads you’ll get brilliantly clean clothes. You can also choose from 16 different wash programmes depending on what clothes you’ve put in your machine.
Adding to the usual cotton and synthetic settings, the machine plays host to a hand wash cycle, a 14 minutes Xpress Super Fast cycle for when you’re in a hurry and a half-load cycle, which the WMB81241 senses and selects automatically. There’s even a wash setting that’s designed to clean the machine itself rather than clothes, which should keep it in better condition for longer.
As well as these wash programmes you can select a different temperature and spin speed for each wash. The Beko WMB81241 is capable of up to 1200 revolutions per minute. Admittedly this isn’t the fastest of spin speeds, and at 73 decibels it’s certainly quite a noisy cycle, but with such a large drum it’s only to be expected. Despite this, the machine hosts a spin efficiency rating of B.
With all these different options you might be worried that the WMB81241 would be difficult to use, but it’s not. The digital display on the front of the machine is clear and easy to understand. It tells you information about the programmes and cycles before you start the wash and then it’ll let you know how long the wash has left before it ends. This feature is particularly handy as the standard wash cycles can be a bit long.
