Nice review chaps - this is definitely one of the best ones explaining what's new in KtiKat (the other ones I've read have been a bit shit tbh).

Thanks, kindly. These kind of comments make our day, believe me. Although, frankly, it's pretty obvious your from your comment you're biased. How much are we paying you? ;)

Enough ;-)

I was just thinking it is a welcome return to form, some of the content recently seemed to be a bit traffic baiting (I get it, page views and ad impressions are what makes you money, not comments or a loyal few readers - you need to drive as much traffic as possible).

Hopefully this is proof that good content also gets you good traffic. How's it trending against your other content at the moment?

Pretty well. Our Nexus 5 review is 'doing the nuts' in the industry parlance.

Sweet - glad to hear that, you've linked through to this as well so hopefully that'll help with bounce rate too.

I'm happy when good content gets good traffic.

Looks good but I'd like to see the ability to change the number of icons on the screen beyond 4x4.

Wait a minute, does that mean Hangout is using Drive to backup my SMS?
And does that now mean Google is now scanning my SMS in the same way it does email?
Usually I don't care about this sort of stuff, but SMS... if that's what's going on I don't like the sound of that.

The "always-listening" mode of Google Now doesn't work if your language is set to English (UK). You need to set it to English (US).

Also, it only works at the homescreen, it won't work when the screen is off like in the Moto X.

Switched to the Nexus 5 from an iPhone 4s. Love Kitkat. Apple users won't be disappointed.

Got something to hide? :)

Lots! 8@

But, you know, you text somebody something and Suddenly Adverts.
It's a bit icky.

Thank you for writing this. I just got done reading a review of KitKat from another site and it made me want to jam forks in my eyes. Luckily I didn't as I would have missed reading your infinitely better review.

There are always 3rd party launchers. It would be nice though if the default offered it.

It is not about "Something to hide", it is about Rights to is a puerile attitude to insinuate that others lack integrity. At most times puerile comment merely reflects on Oneself.

long hold on the home screen doesn't seem to bring up widgets on my Nexus4 or 7. Anyone else having this issue?

Still can't log in to Disqus I see. Also my news reader (Google News based?) doesn't seem to exist anymore. It was the app /widget I used more than any other

DuraForce is building well but now i found one more great brand
Did you know about Nomu S30?
If no then i will let you know Nomu S30 with MTK6755 octa-core, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM and IP68 is much cheaper than the other smartphones
