Looks tempting. Did you test with any classical music? There's a complaint in the review below about a faint buzz being audible when listening to piano music. Perhaps that's the "garbled detritus" you commented on?

Worth noting the weight of them - around 600g while the SoundScience QSB Portable 2.0 speakers way about 900g. To me, every gram counts when travelling!

Fair point there. These are also less bulky than the QSBs.

Hmm perhaps, although I wouldn't describe what I heard as a buzz. I'd primarily say that any prospective buyer needs to keep in mind the Orbits offer improved audio quality, not GREAT audio quality. In this compromised field though they perform pretty well.

Thanks Andrew. For 30-odd quid that's fair enough!

I had a set of speakers before that seemed to buzz when I plugged them into the USB, which sounded like an interference thing. Really I'd just wondered if this was similar.
