Unfortunately, the average punter who visits PC World is not particularly tech-savvy and will just return to the shop to buy more ink - they will have no choice, as no-one else stocks Advent ink. And they will believe the sales person if told they must buy original Advent ink.I think the thing to do is not to play their game. Buy their printers, but use Cartridge World (or similar) to buy your ink. After all, a £50 all-in-one printer is not going to be used to print your family portraits - it's going to be mainly used for kid's homework and printing emails, so any compatible ink will suffice.
yep pc world will tell you all sorts of porkies to people which are not very tech savy, they tried too sell me an £80 monster hdmi once telling me i would get a better picture,i know for a fact you will not get a better picture compared to a £10 hdmi, whats trusted reviews stance on over priced hdmi cables?
Ok, I agree with the above comments, but, having spoken to my local branch of Cartridge World, I'm told that the ABK10 Black and the ACLR10 Colour have "triggers" which prevent their use after refilling. Can anyone comment on this? And another point, are the Kodak cartridges interchangable? I expect not, but it would be one in the eye for PCW if they were!
advent a 10 printer good little machine until you run out of ink alleged yeild is 250 pages i think the person who figuered this out was living on another planet why have they ripped of the people who put their faith in buying this printer being fleeced by p c world come on give the people a fair crack of the whip. michael b.grana

I complained to PC World that the first set of very expensive new cartridges I bought for my AW10 printer had only lasted for approx.30 copies and was asked by the "customer services representative "what I wanted him to do about it.For the life of me I could not think of a polite answer so told him that what I was going to do about it was bin it,buy an HP printer and tell as many people as possible about my experience, hence this post.
