A very good middle-weight home theatre receiver suitable for use with small to medium sized speakers or highly efficient ones, in a small to medium room. I have a small living room and B&W satellites and a professionally built custom made centre, no subwoofer. The YPAO sound calibration found two phase errors and compensated for one sluggish satellite. I anticipate buying an AppleTV unit and this will match the Yamaha beautifully. The "knob" feels rubbery, but the general look and feel of the rest of the Yamaha is very clean and professional. At $NZ 380 from JB HiFi in Auckland, this is remarkable value. It replaced an 11 year old Pioneer VSX-D606S, which is still going great but which lacks HDMI.
