The Toshiba Satellite A660, a 16-inch laptop sporting a 500GB hard drive and a Blu-ray drive, offers excellent value for money. There's good battery life, decent speakers and a better than average screen. Slightly more disappointing is the DVD playback results and the lack of Bluetooth but these niggles aside, this is certainly a solid performer. Read full review

in review you say it is a 16 inch notebook with blu-ray but your features table states otherwise - 15.6 inch and DVD drive... so it left me a bit confused

This computer does all that the reviewer suggests and my wife was very pleased to have a faster Toshiba Laptop than her last one. However that pleasure evaporated, when having closed the lid down gently, the next morning she found the screen had cracked, it would seem in the action of closing the lid. No force was used and Toshiba's reaction was very unhelpful and uncaring. The lid is very flimsy and flexible and if I buy a replacement screen there is no guarantee the samething will not happen again. £120 was the quoted replacement price. 'Caveat Emptor'
