The 32AV635D doesn't have enough prowess with the higher definition things in life to make it a must-have screen for movie buffs. But then to be fair, given its £395 price tag and relatively small 32in size, the home cinema cognoscenti is hardly this TV's intended market.
Considered more sensibly as a screen aimed at the budget buyer looking for either a good living room TV to partner predominantly standard definition sources, or a cheap TV for a second room, the 32AV635D has way more to offer than most, maybe all, of its similarly priced peers.Read full review
I have a Toshiba Regza 32" Full HD (got it from Amazon for £399 a few months back). It works like a dream with my new Mac Mini with a screen res of 1920 x 1080 @ 50 Hz.
I've just bought the 32AV636D on offer in Tesco. I would like to know if anyone knows how to calibrate the screen settings to get a better result from SD DVB on freeview.
Also for those interested I'm running it at 1366x768 under windows (amongst other elements connected) and have to admit i'm a little disapointed at the lack of what seems to be the native max resolution - in short it's a little blurry, not like a PC specific LCD where it's super sharp on screen at max res.
For those wishing to run it at the max there's a Programme (free) called powerstrip you can use.
All in all a good all rounder for xbox, pc and TV for the price, with disapointing windows resolution.
