Even though I haven't used Forrest Gump as a test movie on Toshiba's 46XF355D LCD TV, I have no choice but to conclude the review by saying that assessing a current Toshiba TV is like a box of chocolates: you never know what you're going to get. The good news is that today, while we might not quite have a Guylian Belgian Chocolate Seashell on our hands, we do at least have the equivalent of a purple-wrapped hazelnut in caramel Quality Street job.

I bought this TV from Comet for £816. What this review misses because it was done while the TV was priced considerably higher is that it is now tremendous value for money. That aside, I have had the set now for around 3 months (since Aug 08) and it has been nothing short of fantastic also from an capabilities point of view. The review comments on sound are accurate, but I use a Home Cinema sound system anyway (probably like most people who invest in a large TV) so it becomes a non-issue.
