Here are some general test shots to help evaluate the camera's overall image quality, including the zoom range of the lens. Some pictures may be clicked to download the full size original image.


The wide angle end is equivalent to 28mm.


The long end of the 5x zoom range is equivalent to 140mm, a useful short telephoto.


The DRO system gives good results, with both shadow and highlight detail.


Colour is rich and well saturated.

Got one 3 weeks ago, and it wasn't from Jessops... the internetweb thing is a great source for gadgets.

I've finally got a camera with some decent bells and a whistle or two and the wife loves the blue colour. Major praise for the EASY setting (same as camcorder!), it took away all of the normal teaching pains that come with new gadgets at home... if only there was an EASY setting for tv's, dvd players (her) and washing machines and cookers (me)! :)

... pity the spare batteries are so expensive :(
