Sony has done its level best to impress us lately with groundbreaking features, fancy operating systems, arch designs and madcap marketing campaigns. Yet the first of Sony's current TVs to unequivocally make our day turns out to be an entry-level model deemed so ‘cheap and cheerful' that Sony seems almost embarrassed to be selling it. This seems a strange model designation from sony. I've got the identical looking 40v4000 and it appears to have the full 1080p and Bravia2 engine - yet was only £600 (and has been cheaper still!)...
...perhaps we're now seeing the Sterling collapse kicking in with regards to the post christmas restocking prices.

i have the identical looking 32v4000, has everything (claimed CR of 30,000, and no d-sub).
personally i've never had the pleasure of watching my favourite films on a 100hz screen, but the opening sequence of wall-e (with the large panning shots of the trash towers) is rather juddery. is that something from all non-100hz screens or is it a movie effect?
