My original requirment was for the largest screen size in the smallest possible package. The solution was the Toshiba FX355DB, so off to PC World I went but could find no demonstrator. I next went to Curry's but again no Toshiba, the lighting in Curry's together with an uninterested member of staff saw me return to PC World for a browse. There before me was the Sharp LC46X20E the tv had a slim bezel a little wider than that of the Toshiba but in effect much better proportioned and at a total width of 1010 mm, not much wider than other manufacturers 42 inch models. The Sharp is stunningly elegant and one of the prettiest Tv's I have come accross. The price Was £729 was this a mistake? I confirmed the price and rushed home to research any reviews available. The reviews found were not overflattering but not bad either so I returned to PC World to make a purchase. The final deal of £779 which included a black glass stand was unbelievable and I had thoughts that they must be having trouble selling the model. I returned home with the package and began to set up the TV. I will not attempt to break down the features or charcteristics of this tv but describe my experience of the tv as a package, furthermore I have have no experience of other models so here we go. To say I am pleased with this purchase would be an understatement, I am absolutely in awe of the beauty and elegance of this tv. The picture and sound experience is fantastic and I am excited in anticipation of viewing my favourite programs. I can honestly say that my viewing experience has been transformed by this purchase. Well done Sharp and well done PC World. 100% satisfied.
